Néoules Flea Market

A flea market in a small Var inland village

Néoules is a character Var village nestled in Provence Verte between Brignoles and La Roquebrussanne, in farmland mixing vines, olive trees and oak woods. A few-hundred-inhabitant commune, but active thanks to its festival committee and local traditions. Among these, the annual flea market during the village patronal feast (usually September) is a family rendezvous.

The 'fête votive' is a traditional Provençal event blending masses, balls, village meals, games and commercial gatherings. The flea market fits naturally, adding its hunting and community side. Locals, second-home owners, nearby hunters and holidaymakers attend.

Traditional format

Simple format: central stalls, committee registration, morning setup, sales till mid-afternoon. Mostly private sellers from the village and neighbours (Garéoult, La Roquebrussanne, Rocbaron, Sainte-Anastasie-sur-Issole). A few dealers complete the offer.

Néoules, a character village

Picturesque old centre with stone houses, fountains and church. Set in Var hinterland rural landscape with AOC Côtes de Provence vineyards, olive groves and wooded hills. Authentic away from coastal crowds.

Access

From Brignoles via D554 (15 min) or Toulon via D554. Street parking. Hat, water, cash — especially if it falls in early hot season. Committee refreshment usually provides catering.

Néoules belongs to a dense Var hinterland network: Sainte-Anastasie-sur-Issole, Forcalqueiret, Rocbaron, Garéoult, Méounes-lès-Montrieux, La Roquebrussanne, Camps-la-Source… each organising one or more annual events. A rich playground, with multi-weekend circuit possible.
