In July, Le Malzieu-Forain enlivens its Rue de la Chazette with its annual car boot sale. With between 51 and 250 exhibitors, this popular event attracts residents of the Pays du Malzieu and tourists passing through this region of the Lozère Margeride.

Rue de la Chazette, the main street of the village, transforms for a day into a vast second-hand market. Clothing, toys, books, dishes, tools, furniture, and trinkets are offered by individuals in a festive summer village atmosphere.

Le Malzieu-Forain, a rural village in the Margeride

Le Malzieu-Forain (48700) is a rural commune in Lozère, distinct from Le Malzieu-Ville but geographically close. Located in the Margeride, it shares with its neighbors the authentic and preserved character of the granite villages of this high-altitude plateau.
