Fourqueux's major flea market in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, 450 exhibitors in the heart of the Yvelines
The Fourqueux flea market is one of the largest bargain-hunting events in the Yvelines. Every June, this historic village attached to Saint-Germain-en-Laye welcomes around 450 private and professional exhibitors in its streets and squares, for a day of traditional flea market attracting thousands of visitors from across the Paris region. A must-attend classic on the 78's bargain-hunters calendar.
The Fourqueux flea market ranks among the largest bargain-hunting events in the Yvelines department. Held every year in June in the historic village of Fourqueux, now part of Saint-Germain-en-Laye as a delegated commune, it gathers around 450 exhibitors who set up their stalls in the streets and squares of the center. With such density of exhibitors and a public counted in thousands, Fourqueux stands as one of the major flea markets of western Paris.
This flea market is a longstanding local tradition, organized in partnership with Fourqueux associations and the City of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The day starts early, around 8:30am, when the first bargain hunters are already walking the lanes looking for rare pieces. Professional exhibitors, seasoned dealers, and private sellers rub shoulders in a friendly but serious atmosphere: at Fourqueux, people really come to find things. Until late afternoon, visitors browse the stalls searching for antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, jewelry, books, vintage clothes, and curiosities of all kinds.
Merged since 2019 with Saint-Germain-en-Laye as a delegated commune, Fourqueux has kept its residential village character, nestled between the Saint-Germain forest and Marly. Its old houses, church, and central square offer a particularly pleasant backdrop for an outdoor flea market: no vast impersonal esplanade here, but lively streets that create a unique atmosphere.
With its 450 exhibitors, the Fourqueux flea market attracts huge crowds coming from Saint-Germain, Le Pecq, Marly-le-Roi, Versailles, and far beyond, even Paris. The event is renowned for the quality and variety of its offer. This diversity is what makes Fourqueux so beloved: passionate collectors and casual browsers alike find their happiness.
Fourqueux is reachable by car via the A13 or N184, and by train via Saint-Germain-en-Laye RER A station, from which a bus ride or a short walk leads to the village center. Parking can be difficult on flea market day; better to arrive early or use public transport.
