Autumn bargain hunting at the gates of Verdon
In October, Comps-sur-Artuby closes the Haut-Var flea market season with its traditional autumn edition. In this Artuby-Verdon township, bargain hunters and locals gather in front of the village hall for a friendly day in the vivid colors of Provençal late season.
Comps-sur-Artuby is a Provençal village on the Artuby plateau, at the foot of the Verdon Gorges. Its autumn flea market offers one last hunting rendezvous before winter, when the oak forests turn golden and the first truffle season approaches.
Exhibitors, mostly locals, offer classic bric-Ã -brac: dishware, antique linen, books, toys, small furniture, tools, clothing and trinkets. The setting facing the village hall is simple and bright, perfect for leisurely browsing.
Local producers bring seasonal products: arbutus honey, chestnuts, mushrooms, first fresh truffles (the Aups region truffle season begins in late November).
The Comps-sur-Artuby autumn flea market returns on Sunday October 18, 2026 in front of the village hall. A traditional end-of-season gathering for Artuby-Verdon bargain hunters.
From Draguignan via D955 (40 min) or Castellane via D71. Free parking near the village hall.
