Mauron is a small commune of about 3,000 inhabitants located on the borders of Morbihan and Côtes-d'Armor, on the edge of the legendary Brocéliande forest. Its annual car boot sale, organised at the Moronoë Cultural Centre, brings together around 110 exhibitors and attracts visitors from all over the Ploërmel region.
Located on the road between Ploërmel and Loudéac, Mauron is a central town serving a vast rural area of hedgerows and forests. Its market, shops, and cultural facilities make it a hub for surrounding communes: Guilliers, La Trinité-Porhoët, Mohon, Illifaut.
