Summer bargain hunting on the main avenue of the seaside resort
The Fort-Mahon-Plage Tourism Office organises its traditional summer flea market on the main avenue of the resort. Two major dates punctuate the season: Sunday 28 June and Sunday 20 September 2026, from 8am to 6pm. In the heart of the Bay of Somme, between dunes and family seaside resort, this flea market gathers exhibitors and holidaymakers in a relaxed and sunny atmosphere. An unmissable rendezvous for holidaymakers on the Picardy coast.
Fort-Mahon-Plage is one of the most appreciated family seaside resorts in northern France, between the bay of Authie and the bay of Somme. Every summer, the Tourism Office organises two major flea markets that punctuate the season: one in late June at the opening of the summer period, and one in September just before the end of the season.
The late June flea market marks the opening of the main summer season. The September edition plays the end-of-season card: exhibitors take advantage of this last opportunity before autumn.
Fort-Mahon-Plage is a commune of fewer than 1,500 inhabitants located at the extreme north of the Somme department. The resort stretches along a long sandy beach, bordered by a remarkable dune massif (Marquenterre dunes) classified Grand Site de France.
The classic offering is enriched by items linked to the coast: old photographs of the resort, postcards, maritime objects (anchors, buoys, boat models), shells, regional earthenware.
After the bargain-hunting morning, head to the beach for a walk or swim, or to the nearby Marquenterre ornithological park.
