The village réderie in the Somme valley
The La Neuville-lès-Bray Flea Market takes place every spring in this Somme valley village, near Bray-sur-Somme and the upper Somme ponds. A local event run by village volunteers, it gathers private individuals and bargain hunters for an authentic rural display: tableware, clothes, books, toys, trinkets. A friendly réderie in the heart of the preserved Somme landscapes.
La Neuville-lès-Bray is a small village of about a hundred inhabitants in the Somme valley, between Amiens and Péronne. Each spring, the town animates with its traditional flea market. Part of the May Picardy réderies calendar.
Exhibitors, mostly village and neighbouring residents, unpack forgotten treasures in the village streets. The classic Picardy bargain hunting panorama: tableware, family clothes, toys, old books, comics, vinyls, old tools, small furniture, lamps, trinkets.
The village is ideally located for nature and heritage lovers: near the upper Somme ponds, a remarkable natural zone, and close to Great War memorial sites. Visitors can extend their day with a waterside walk, memorial visit or local heritage discovery.
"Réderie" is used here in its full Picardy dimension: a moment of social life as much as commerce. This event testifies to the associative vitality of small rural towns.
Arrive at opening for the best deals. Bring small cash. Combine with Somme memorial sites or pond walks.
