The La Capte flea market is a fixture of Var bargain hunting. Set in the La Capte pine forest, avenue de la Pinède, Hyères, it enjoys an exceptional seaside setting under umbrella pines. Organised by the Commerce Service of the City of Hyères, it follows a strict schedule: 1st and 3rd Sundays each month from October to May, with a summer break in June-September.
The 4 January 2026 edition opens the year in the gentle Mediterranean winter.
A structured, regulated format
About 100 stalls at 10 euros per 5 linear metres. Private sellers only (dealers excluded), ID front and back copies plus proof of residence required. Max two participations a year per seller, under French second-hand sale rules. Official hours: 7.30am-1pm, set-up from 6.30am.

On 4 January 2026, the market opened its annual season in the pine forest. From 7.30am, the 100 stalls hosted private sellers clearing their homes after the holidays. Hunters found classics: clothes, crockery, toys, books, vinyl, curios. Some fine surprises in Provençal crockery and old textiles. The bi-monthly rendezvous runs through the season until May.
