Flea market and car boot sale in the centre of Cordon, balcony of Mont Blanc
The Cordon flea market and car boot sale takes place every 15 August in the centre of this balcony village offering an exceptional panorama of Mont Blanc and the Aravis range. Sellers set up along the village streets to offer bargain hunters a fine assortment of second-hand items, antiques and curiosities in an outstanding mountain setting. Cordon, a popular resort between Sallanches and Megève, draws a mix of holidaymakers and locals for this festive midsummer day.
The Cordon flea market is an unmissable 15 August event in Haute-Savoie. This village perched at 871 metres, nicknamed the "balcony of Mont Blanc", provides a magnificent setting for a summer day of treasure hunting.
Browsing in Cordon means enjoying a breathtaking panorama of Mont Blanc, the Aravis chain and the Fiz massif. Stalls line the flower-decked lanes, creating a unique atmosphere.
The event blends antiques and car boot items: old Savoyard furniture, mountain objects, pottery, vintage clothing, old postcards, retro toys and traditional tools.
Labelled "Village de charme", Cordon has preserved its traditional architecture with wooden chalets and an 18th-century baroque church.
