Car boot sale of the Judo Club of Villefranche-de-Rouergue

On Thursday, May 1st, 2025, the Judo Club Car Boot Sale of Villefranche-de-Rouergue once again took over the Foirail de la Madeleine for this traditional and solidarity event. From 7 am to 6 pm, under the large covered hall and in the outdoor areas of avenue du 8 Mai 1945, nearly 300 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, displayed their stalls in a friendly and family atmosphere, for the benefit of the Villefranche Judo Club.

The car boot sale offered a rich and varied selection: crockery, books, vinyl records, clothing, toys, trinkets, small furniture, and tools delighted bargain hunters from all over the Villefranche area and northern Aveyron. The flower market, particularly popular at the beginning of May, ideal for planting, allowed amateur gardeners to find vegetable plants, seasonal flowers, shrubs, and floral arrangements. The used car market completed this triple event with a dedicated space for private car sales.

On-site catering, provided by Judo Club volunteers, contributed to the festive atmosphere of the day. The traditional tripe meal, served from 8 am, was as popular as ever with lovers of Rouergat gastronomy. Fries, sausages, sandwiches, and crepes were also available throughout the day. The profits from this edition will help finance the training, equipment, and competition travel of the young judokas from Villefranche.
