About Brocante APE Chissay

The brocante of the APE (Association des Parents d'Élèves) of Chissay-en-Touraine is an annual event in April that brings together around 150 exhibitors. Organized for the benefit of school activities, this outdoor flea market welcomes individuals and professionals from 8 am to 6 pm with free admission. The profits fund the village school's outings and projects.

The big APE flea market

Every year in April, the APE of Chissay-en-Touraine (APEECH association) organizes its big annual flea market. With around 150 exhibitors, it is one of the most important events in the town, attracting bargain hunters from all over the Val de Cher and neighboring Touraine.

150 outdoor exhibitors

The exhibitors — individuals and professionals — set up their stalls outdoors to offer a wide range of items: bric-a-brac, furniture, tableware, clothing, toys, books, and decorative objects. The 2024 edition hosted 138 exhibitors, confirming the dynamism of this event.

For the benefit of children

The profits from this flea market are entirely donated to the benefit of the school trips and educational projects for the children of the Chissay-en-Touraine school. Bargain hunting with a purpose, that's the whole spirit of this supportive and friendly event in this village on the banks of the Cher.

150 outdoor exhibitors

With around 150 exhibitors, the APE flea market of Chissay-en-Touraine is one of the most important events in the town. The stalls are set up outdoors in the village, occupying streets and squares for several hundred meters. The diversity of items offered is remarkable: from antique furniture to second-hand toys, including tableware, clothing, books, tools, and decorative objects. Professionals rub shoulders with individuals to offer a varied selection.

The APE of Chissay, engine of school life

The APEECH (Association des Parents d'Élèves de l'École de Chissay) is a dynamic association that works throughout the year to improve the school life of the village children. The annual April flea market is its main source of funding, allowing it to finance educational outings, creative workshops, shows for children, and the purchase of educational materials. Every euro spent at the flea market directly contributes to the well-being of the schoolchildren.

The Val de Cher in April

The month of April is an ideal time to discover the Val de Cher. Fruit trees are in bloom, gardens are awakening, and the spring mildness invites you for a walk. The APE flea market is an opportunity to combine bargain hunting and a stroll in this charming landscape, between the banks of the Cher and the wooded hillsides. The proximity of Montrichard and Chenonceau offers complementary visiting possibilities.
