Every summer in August, the boulevard de la Banche transforms into a vast open-air flea market, facing the sea. This seaside street sale is one of the most anticipated events of the season in Saint-Jacut.

A "Comité des Fêtes" committed since 1973

The "Comité des Fêtes" of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, created in July 1973, animates the festive life of the peninsula with a team of six board members and about thirty volunteers. The organization of the seaside car boot sale is one of the highlights of their summer program. The exhibitor fee is set at €3.50 per linear meter, and registration is done by reservation with the committee.

A morning of treasure hunting between sky and sea

From 6:30 AM, the first treasure hunters scour the stalls on the boulevard de la Banche to find the best deals before the influx of holidaymakers. The atmosphere is unique: the sound of the waves accompanies negotiations, the sea air mixes with discussions between sellers and buyers. You can find everything here, from everyday objects to marine curiosities, in a postcard setting. Food and drink stands allow you to eat on site throughout the day.
