The largest car boot sale in Penthièvre

Every year in September, the Place du Martray in Jugon-les-Lacs transforms into a huge open-air flea market. The Grand Car Boot Sale, organized by the association Festivarts, hosts around 300 exhibitors and attracts some 10,000 visitors, making this day the most important commercial event in the commune and one of the largest car boot sales in Penthièvre.

An exceptional setting between lake and heritage

The sales circuit extends over the Place du Martray and in the adjacent streets, offering a varied bargain hunting route in a picturesque setting. Visitors stroll between the stalls while enjoying the bars and restaurants on the square, the rivers that cross the village, and the lively lake of Jugon. A giant comic strip exhibition retracing the history of Jugon completes the entertainment of this exceptional day.

Jugon-les-Lacs, a small town of character

Nestled between Dinan and Lamballe, Jugon-les-Lacs is a commune classified as a Petite Cité de Caractère (Small Town of Character) that seduces with its preserved architectural heritage and its remarkable natural environment. Its large 70-hectare lake, ideal for swimming, fishing, and water activities, makes it a popular tourist destination in the summer. The Grand Car Boot Sale extends the tourist season into September, attracting visitors from across the department and beyond.

The Festivarts association, driving local life

The association Festivarts has been organizing the Grand Car Boot Sale for many years. Volunteers ensure the logistics, the reception of exhibitors, and the entertainment of the day. Pitches are offered at a rate of 3 euros per linear meter. Entry is free for visitors. Contact: [email protected].
