The Grand Vide-grenier of the Samatan Agricultural Fair

Every year in March, the town of Samatan (32130) hosts its traditional Agricultural Fair, one of the most important events in the Gers calendar. As part of this festive occasion, the Association des Parents d'Élèves of the Yves Chaze school organizes a grand car boot sale that takes over the squares and streets of the town center, attracting up to 200 exhibitors.

A treasure hunt route through the town center

The stalls extend along a vast urban route: Place de la Fontaine, rue du Pradel, Place des Halles, rue du Chanoine Dieuzaide, rue du Four, rue de l'Église, and Place du Repos. This route offers visitors a pleasant walk through the picturesque streets of this Gascon bastide, punctuated by discoveries and bargains. Only second-hand items are accepted: clothing, toys, books, dishes, small furniture, trinkets, and various objects.

Samatan, capital of foie gras

Samatan is a commune of about 2,500 inhabitants, renowned throughout the Southwest for its foie gras market, one of the largest in France. The March Agricultural Fair continues this rural tradition by highlighting Gers agriculture: livestock, crops, agricultural equipment, local products. The car boot sale is naturally part of this popular festival that brings together all generations.

Information for exhibitors

Exhibitor setup is from 6 am to 8 am, with opening to the public from 8 am to 6 pm. Pitches are priced at €8 for 3 meters, €16 for 6 meters, €24 for 9 meters, and €32 for 12 meters. Tables are not provided by the organization. The registration deadline is set a few days before the event.
