Every September, the Parc du Château de L'Isle-de-Noé dons its autumn colours to host the Grande Foire d'Automne. More than 300 car boot sale stalls are set up under the golden foliage of this English-style park, offering bargain hunters a magnificent landscaped setting. The event is the last major outdoor flea market gathering of the Gers season, before the indoor fairs of winter.

An exceptional park on the banks of the Baïse

The Parc du Château of L'Isle-de-Noé is a green space of several hectares, planted with century-old plane trees and oaks, bordering the Baïse river. This exceptional setting, with its shaded alleys and lawns, gives the car boot sale a unique atmosphere. Visitors particularly appreciate the beauty of the place in September, when the autumn light bathes the stalls in a characteristic golden hue of the Southwest.

300 stalls for all tastes

As with the Foire de Printemps, the Grande Foire d'Automne brings together over 300 exhibitors. The offer is vast and eclectic: rustic Gascon furniture, country wardrobes, farm tables, earthenware dishes, copperware, embroidered linens, old tools, vintage toys, books, records, and decorative objects. The end of the season often brings lots from house clearances, with their share of surprises.

L'Isle-de-Noé, land of fairs and horses

L'Isle-de-Noé has a long tradition of fairs and markets, linked to its history as a market town on the Baïse river. The village also houses a former national stud farm, founded in the 19th century, which was one of the most important horse breeding centres in France. This tradition gives the Grande Foire d'Automne a heritage dimension that goes beyond a simple car boot sale.
