Edition 2025 — Saint-Genest Asparagus Fair
The 45th Saint-Genest-d'Ambière Asparagus Fair was held on Thursday 29 May 2025 (Ascension Day). As every year, the event combined a flea market, craft market, funfair, asparagus contest and musical entertainment on Place de la Mairie. The event drew a wide Haut-Poitou public.

2025 edition review
On Thursday 29 May 2025, Saint-Genest-d'Ambière celebrated the 45th edition of its Asparagus Fair under mixed skies. The rainy weeks beforehand had pushed local asparagus prices up, as France Bleu reported, a reminder of the crop's weather sensitivity.
The flea market spread through the village streets with sellers from across Vienne. Funfair, pony rides, concert, majorettes and barrel-organ parade punctuated the day. The asparagus contest highlighted local producers. The 46th edition is already announced for 14 May 2026.
