Tillières-sur-Avre is a remarkable medieval village in the Eure region, located in the Avre valley on the border of Eure-et-Loir. The commune is dominated by the ruins of its medieval fortified castle, whose 11th-century keep is one of the oldest in Normandy. Its Saint-Hilaire church with sculpted Romanesque capitals and its cemetery with medieval stone crosses complete this exceptional heritage. This unique historical setting gives the car boot sale a picturesque character rarely matched.
The end of August period is ideal for an outdoor car boot sale in the Avre valley: summer temperatures begin to cool down, and many visitors returning from vacation are looking for bargains before the start of the school year. The Foire à tout de Tillières-sur-Avre is thus an opportunity to combine treasure hunting with the discovery of this exceptional medieval village, listed among the most beautiful villages in the Eure.
