The Comité des Fêtes de Rarécourt, chaired by Laura Albert, organizes the Fête du Four every summer, accompanied by a large flea market. The event takes place rue de la Salle, from 6:30 AM to 6 PM, and brings together around 100 exhibitors. Entry is free for visitors and pitches are free for all exhibitors, whether individuals or professionals.
With its 195 inhabitants, Rarécourt is a unique village in Argonne Meusienne. Formerly an independent community that benefited from tax privileges until the Revolution, the village was miraculously spared from the fighting of the First World War. This particularity gives it an exceptional built heritage: old houses, preserved rural architecture, and an intact village ensemble that testifies to the Argonne way of life of yesteryear.
The Fête du Four is an opportunity to relight the communal oven and share traditionally baked products. Refreshments and food complete this festive day. The spaces are large enough for each exhibitor to park their vehicle and trailer directly at their pitch. Restrooms and parking are available on site.
