Autumn at the mimosa village
Every third Sunday of October, Tanneron celebrates autumn with its traditional Chestnut Festival. On the village square, artisan market, roasted chestnuts sold by the parent-teacher association, animations and refreshments enliven this warm day in the wooded massif overlooking the Côte d'Azur. A must-attend event for families and lovers of Provençal traditions.
Tanneron is a village in Var known nationally for its mimosa blooms, which color the massif gold every winter. But the municipality also has another essential festive event: the Chestnut Festival, organized each third Sunday of October by the municipality.
The Chestnut Festival is an ideal Sunday out for families: reasonable hours (9am-5pm), free admission, friendly atmosphere.
