Foire à la Brocante et Vide-Grenier — Town centre, Jargeau, first Sunday of August
Every first Sunday of August, Jargeau opens its great Foire à la Brocante throughout the town centre. The professional flea market is held under the market hall, while the mail Carnot, the Grande-Rue and the Martroi, Grand-Cloître and Petit-Cloître squares host the car boot sale. An unmissable summer event on the banks of the Loire in the Loiret region.
Jargeau, a small town in the Loiret region famous for its bridge over the Loire and its role in the liberation of Orléans by Joan of Arc, hosts a flea market every first Sunday of August that literally takes over the town centre. It is one of the most popular summer events in the Orléans valley.
The Jargeau Flea Market is distinguished by its organisation into two complementary spaces. Under the market hall, professional dealers set up with their selection of antiques, furniture and collector's items. Around the town, in the streets and squares, the car boot sale for individuals takes over the mail Carnot, the Grande-Rue and the Martroi, Grand-Cloître and Petit-Cloître squares.
This organisation allows all types of visitors to find what they are looking for: antique lovers and those seeking rare items mingle with bargain hunters looking for affordable second-hand goods. The entire event covers a considerable area, transforming the historic heart of Jargeau into a huge open-air market.
Jargeau is a town steeped in history, known for being the site of Joan of Arc's victory over the English in June 1429. Its medieval bridge, market hall and half-timbered houses bear witness to a rich past. The town is also known for its 'andouilles', a local charcuterie specialty renowned throughout the Loiret region.
Located on the banks of the Loire, Jargeau benefits from an exceptional natural setting. The Loire quays, accessible on foot from the town centre, add to the charm of this summer flea market day in a Loire Valley site classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
For more information on how to register as an exhibitor or on the exact programme for the day, please contact the Jargeau town hall or tourist office on 02 38 59 70 39. The event also hosts the Bourse Multicollections Gergolienne, organised by the local philatelic association.
The Foire à la Brocante et Vide-Grenier returns in August 2026 to Jargeau town centre. Professional flea market under the hall and private car boot sale in the squares.
