Twice every summer — in July and August —, the Association Cartophile de Saint-Nazaire organizes its Collection Fair at the Place de l'Église Le Foyer, in Le Pouliguen. This specialized event brings together collectors and enthusiasts of collectible objects in a pleasant seaside setting, offering a quality alternative to the general car boot sales on the Guérande peninsula.

The Association Cartophile de Saint-Nazaire

The Association Cartophile de Saint-Nazaire is an associative structure dedicated to collectors, primarily enthusiasts of old and contemporary postcards. Cartophily — the collection of postcards — is one of the oldest and most widespread hobbies in France, and associations dedicated to it regularly organize swap meets allowing collectors to complete their collections, sell their duplicates, and meet other enthusiasts. The Saint-Nazaire association extends its activities beyond Saint-Nazaire by organizing these fairs in Le Pouliguen, taking advantage of the summer tourist traffic in the seaside resort.

While cartophily is at the heart of the organizing association's mission, the Collection Fair of Le Pouliguen welcomes a wide variety of collectible items. Stamps, coins, banknotes, militaria, medals, old advertising items, playing cards, chromolithographs, and many other pieces are offered by exhibitors.
