The 2025 edition of the Foire Annuelle d'Espeyrac was held in May on the Place de la Fontaine and in the medieval alleys of the village. This traditional event brought together exhibitors, local producers, and visitors in this perched village in the Daze valley, the last stop before Conques on the GR 65. Inheriting a long tradition that included five annual fairs in the 19th century, this event perpetuates Espeyrac's commercial vocation in the heart of Aveyron.
In May 2025, the Foire Annuelle d'Espeyrac took over the Place de la Fontaine and the steep alleys of this medieval village perched on its rocky promontory, in the heart of the Daze valley. Exhibitors, artisans, and local producers offered visitors a wide range of goods: local Aveyron products, crafts, flea market items, and various objects.
Espeyrac, a former Gallo-Roman estate that became the seat of the barony of Arpajon, perpetuates with this fair a commercial tradition dating back several centuries. At the end of the 19th century, the village hosted no less than five annual fairs, a sign of its importance in the valley's trade. Today, the May fair remains the main trading event of the village, attracting residents from surrounding towns – Entraygues-sur-Truyère, Conques, Estaing – as well as pilgrims on the GR 65 heading to Compostela.
In the exceptional setting of this village with its stepped alleys, dominated by the medieval turret, a vestige of the old castles, the fair offered a day of discovery and conviviality, true to the spirit of Aveyron's rural fairs.
