The original flea market of the hunting society
Among the many réderies that animate spring in the Somme, the Érondelle Hunters' Flea Market stands out for its atypical organizer: the local Hunting Society. The village hunters made the bet, a few years ago, to organize a flea market each spring to fund their association and support their game management actions.
On the stalls, you naturally find the classic bric-à-brac of Picardy flea markets — tableware, clothes, books, toys, old tools — but also more specific hunting-related objects: decorative rifles (sold under legal conditions), collector knives, hunting horns, game bags, leather satchels, old traps, taxidermy, hunting books and animal engravings.
Érondelle is a small village of about 400 inhabitants in the Somme valley, between Abbeville and Amiens. Its landscapes of bocage meadows, marshes and forests make it a privileged hunting territory. Saint-Martin church, the castle and traditional Picardy farmhouses give the village an authentic charm.
The event is deeply marked by the associative atmosphere of hunting societies: warm welcome, hearty refreshments with local products, game-based catering (seasonal), conviviality between residents and visitors. Proceeds contribute to the association's environmental actions.
