46th edition of the 5 Days of the Extraordinary Object in Saint-Germain's antique dealers' district
Created in 1977, the 5 Days of the Extraordinary Object bring together each year the galleries of the prestigious Carré Rive Gauche. In June 2026, for the 46th edition, the 78 dealers along Rue du Bac, Rue de Beaune, Rue de Lille, Rue de Verneuil and Quai Voltaire open their doors simultaneously for five exceptional days.
Each year, a theme inspires all participating gallery owners, each revealing their own selection: a masterpiece, a series, a themed display. Visitors wander the neighbourhood gallery by gallery, like an open-air museum tour.
Specialists in 18th century furniture, Orientalism, Asian arts, archaeology, Art Deco, 20th century design, silverware, old master paintings, rare books and photography are all represented.
Located in the 7th arrondissement, between the Musée d'Orsay and the École des Beaux-Arts, the Carré Rive Gauche occupies four streets and a quay on the Seine. Its 17th and 18th century buildings house the galleries behind magnificent historic facades.
During the 5 Days, galleries organise vernissages, cocktails and meetings with experts. The event is free and open to all.
48th edition of the 5 Jours de l'Objet Extraordinaire at Carré Rive Gauche, from June 3 to 6, 2026. For four days in June 2026, some fifty antique dealers, art merchants, and decorators from the prestigious 7th arrondissement of Paris simultaneously open their doors around the extraordinary object. An open-air museum stroll that celebrates the Parisian art market in its most refined setting, between rue du Bac, rue de Beaune, rue de Lille, rue de Verneuil, and quai Voltaire.
The 2026 edition of the 5 Jours de l'Objet Extraordinaire takes place from June 3 to 6, for the 48th time since the event's creation in 1977. Some fifty galleries, members of the Carré Rive Gauche association, showcase their rarest and most spectacular pieces, in a panorama covering over 7,000 years of creation, from Antiquity to contemporary art.
This year, the association returns to the element of surprise: no visuals are released in advance, with each gallery invited to unveil an «extraordinary object» on site, in accordance with its specialty. Collectors, decorators, and art lovers from around the world converge on this historic district of the 7th arrondissement to explore gallery after gallery, discover the displays, converse with merchants, and admire exceptional pieces — from 18th-century furniture to contemporary design creations. Openings, cocktails, and events punctuate these festive and cultural days. The association is now chaired by Julie Béalu.
