The Brocothèque of the Friends of Moret is an original event, designed for book and culture enthusiasts. Organized in early March in the Roland Dagnaud hall of Moret-sur-Loing, it is one of the unmissable gatherings for bibliophiles and collectors in the Paris region and northern Burgundy. The formula, sometimes called 'book exchange' or 'cultural flea market', stands out from traditional flea markets by its specialization and the quality of the items offered.
On the tables, you will find thousands of books covering all genres and all eras: novels, classics of French and foreign literature, thrillers, comics and manga, history books, beautiful art books, regional works on Moret, Seine-et-Marne and the region, old school textbooks, children's books, technical and scientific works.
Beyond books, the Brocothèque opens its doors to all cultural items: vinyl records and 78s, old postcards, photographs, engravings, posters, historical documents, old newspapers, maps, musical scores, manuscripts. This thematic expansion makes it a true temple of printed and recorded memory.
Founded long ago, the association Les Amis de Moret et de sa Région plays an essential role in the preservation and promotion of the cultural, historical and natural heritage of Moret-sur-Loing and its surroundings. It organizes conferences, publications, guided tours, and this flagship event which is the Brocothèque. Exhibitor registration: [email protected].
Moret-sur-Loing, now a delegated commune of Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne, is an exceptional medieval city, ranked among the most beautiful villages in Seine-et-Marne. Its ramparts, its fortified gates, its half-timbered houses and its paved alleys have inspired many artists, notably the impressionist painter Alfred Sisley who lived there in the last years of his life.
Participating in the Brocothèque is also an opportunity to discover or rediscover Moret-sur-Loing and its region. On the program of a beautiful day: strolling through the medieval alleys, visiting historical sites, walking along the Loing, discovering the neighboring villages.
The Brocothèque takes place on Sunday March 1, 2026 at the Roland Dagnaud hall in Moret-sur-Loing. Free admission for visitors. Exhibitor registration: [email protected].
