March flea market at Parking Mas, avenue de l'Europe, Le Mée-sur-Seine
The Parking Mas flea market is a spring event organized every year in March in Le Mée-sur-Seine, a major commune of the Melun metropolitan area. Set up on the vast Parking Mas at 800 avenue de l'Europe, it brings together between 50 and 100 private and professional exhibitors. It is one of the first major bargain-hunting opportunities of the season in Seine-et-Marne, in an accessible family-friendly setting.
Every year in March, Le Mée-sur-Seine unofficially kicks off the flea market season in Seine-et-Marne. Parking Mas, located at 800 avenue de l'Europe, hosts from dawn an event that attracts both residents of the Melun area and seasoned bargain hunters from across the region. From 6 am to 4 pm, the aisles gradually fill with exhibitors and visitors, in that early-morning, busy atmosphere that gives the first flea markets of the year their charm.
Parking Mas offers a practical and functional setting for this type of event. Its large surface comfortably accommodates between 50 and 100 exhibitors, with easy visitor flow and parking nearby. The paved surface ensures clean display of goods, even in uncertain weather, a much-appreciated advantage in a season when the climate can compromise a grass or dirt venue.
With participation mixing private sellers and professionals, the flea market offers a diverse selection that satisfies all bargain-hunter profiles. Clothing, books, vinyl records, children's toys, crockery, trinkets, small decor, computer and hi-fi equipment, tools, small furniture, collectibles. This heterogeneity is typical of suburban Paris flea markets and medium-sized metropolitan areas.
Le Mée-sur-Seine is the second most populous commune of the Melun metropolitan area after Melun, with more than 20,000 inhabitants. Its urban fabric, a mix of residential neighborhoods and collective housing, concentrates an important community life expressed through a particularly full events calendar: flea markets, yard sales, neighborhood festivals, cultural and sporting events. The city also enjoys a privileged location along the Seine and right next to Melun, offering an appreciated quality of life.
With free admission for visitors and on-site catering, this flea market lends itself well to a relaxed outing. The most motivated bargain hunters arrive at the 6 am opening to be first served, while families come rather late morning for a quiet stroll. The proximity of Melun, Vaux-le-Vicomte, and the Château de Fontainebleau makes it easy to follow the morning hunt with a tourist visit in the afternoon.
The flea market takes place on Sunday March 15, 2026 on Parking Mas, 800 avenue de l'Europe, Le Mée-sur-Seine, from 6 am to 4 pm. Free admission for visitors. On-site catering.
