On Sunday, October 12, 2025, the Place du Foirail-bas and Avenue du Colombier in Montbazens hosted the 58th edition of the large flea market, car boot sale, and workshop clear-out, organized by the association Anim'a Montbazens. Nearly 200 exhibitors set up their stalls from 6:30 AM to offer treasure hunters from all over Aveyron and neighboring departments a remarkable range of finds: antique furniture, tableware and earthenware, books and vinyl records, clothing and accessories, toys, trinkets, and collector's items.
The workshop clear-out section, a specific feature of this event, once again delighted visitors. Artists and craftspeople from the Montbazens plateau and surrounding areas offered for sale original creations, prototypes, and end-of-series items, as well as professional equipment, art supplies, and craft tools. Painters, ceramists, sculptors, and textile designers interacted with a curious public fond of unique pieces, in line with the artisanal tradition of this former stonecutter town.
The refreshments and on-site food allowed everyone to eat in the warm atmosphere of this autumn day on the Aveyron plateau. The setting of Montbazens, with its 15th-century fortified bell tower of the Saint-Géraud church and its Town Hall housed in the former prior's residence, provided an exceptional heritage backdrop to this flea market which has become, over its 58 editions, an unmissable event for treasure hunters and craft enthusiasts in the region.
