Grand flea market and car boot sale on Easter Monday in Beaumont-du-Périgord with 300 exhibitors
Every Easter Monday, the bastide town of Beaumont-du-Périgord comes alive with one of the largest flea markets in the Dordogne department. With around 300 exhibitors, this event attracts thousands of visitors from all over the Périgord and beyond to enjoy this day of treasure hunting in an exceptional historical setting.
Founded in 1272 by Edward I of England, the bastide of Beaumont-du-Périgord preserves remarkable heritage: its fortified church Saint-Laurent-et-Saint-Front, its rampart gates, its central arcaded square, and its medieval streets. On Easter Monday, the stalls of the flea market vendors take over the Place Jean Moulin and the adjacent streets, offering an incomparable setting for a day of treasure hunting.
Individuals and professionals mingle to offer a considerable selection of items: antique furniture, tableware, tools, toys, books, clothing, trinkets, collectibles, and curiosities of all kinds. Collectors find rare pieces while families enjoy the festive atmosphere of Easter Monday. The event opens as early as 6 am for early birds and continues until 6 pm.
The Easter Monday flea market is also an opportunity to (re)discover Beaumont-du-Périgord, a village of character located between Bergerac and Villeneuve-sur-Lot. Its shops, restaurants, and weekly market make it a dynamic place to live in the heart of the Périgord Pourpre.
