Large flea market and car boot sale in the village of Siorac-de-Ribérac with around a hundred exhibitors
Every summer in July, the village of Siorac-de-Ribérac hosts a large flea market and car boot sale that brings together about 100 exhibitors, professionals and private individuals. Stalls are set up in the village streets, offering antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, tools, clothing, books, toys, and decorative items to bargain hunters from the Ribérac region.
Siorac-de-Ribérac is a rural commune in the Périgord Blanc, located a few kilometers south of Ribérac, a sub-prefecture and cantonal capital in the northwest of the Dordogne. The village, crossed by country paths lined with hedges and meadows, retains a discreet but authentic built heritage: Romanesque church, limestone houses, and traditional farms. The Périgord Blanc, named for the light color of its limestone, is a region of rolling hills and agricultural valleys.
With around a hundred exhibitors, the Siorac-de-Ribérac flea market stands out for its scale for a village of this size. The event attracts bargain hunters from all over the Ribérac area and beyond, who take the opportunity to browse a varied selection of items at low prices. The atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented, in the spirit of a country car boot sale.
The proximity of Ribérac, whose Friday morning market is one of the most renowned in the Périgord, enhances the attractiveness of the area for market and flea market enthusiasts. The monthly flea market in Ribérac, held on the first Saturday of the month in the Champ de Foire square, complements the bargain hunting opportunities in the region.
