Bi-weekly professional flea market in the heart of old Antibes, Thursdays and Saturdays
Place Nationale, formerly Place de la République, is one of the most beautiful squares in old Antibes. Surrounded by old houses with colorful facades, it hosts a market of professional flea market dealers every Thursday and Saturday, much to the delight of bargain hunters. From 7 am to 5 pm, stalls are set up in the square and adjacent alleys, in an authentic Provençal setting.
The flea market dealers of Place Nationale offer a varied selection of antiques, old furniture, art objects, and curiosities. Paintings, sculptures, ceramics, Biot glassware, antique jewelry, and decorative objects make up a rich and eclectic offering. The proximity of the art galleries of old Antibes reinforces the cultural character of this market, frequented by collectors and art lovers.
Antibes, with its Vauban ramparts, its Grimaldi castle (now the Picasso Museum), and its Vauban port, offers a remarkable setting for treasure hunting. Place Nationale is just a short walk from the covered Provençal market, the ramparts facing the sea, and the old port. A visit to the flea market fits perfectly into a day of discovering old Antibes, between historical heritage, gastronomy, and Mediterranean lifestyle.
The bi-weekly schedule (Thursday and Saturday) allows regular bargain hunters to return often, as the stalls are constantly renewed. The professionals present are regulars at the square, which guarantees consistent quality and enriching exchanges. Thursday is often quieter, ideal for negotiation, while Saturday sees more visitors.
