Annual flea market in Peyrins, a village in the Drôme region between Romans and Saint-Donat
Peyrins is a small village in the north of the Drôme, located about ten kilometers west of Romans-sur-Isère, in the Isère plain. Its annual flea market, held every year in early May, is one of the highlights of the commune's festive calendar. Private sellers and professional antique dealers set up their stalls in the village square and its surroundings to offer their items to a loyal local clientele.
Antique furniture, tableware, tools, clothing, books, and trinkets of all kinds are spread out on dozens of meters of tables, offering treasure hunters from the region a wide variety of finds. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere of village flea markets is particularly present in Peyrins, which knows how to welcome its visitors in a warm atmosphere.
The commune of Peyrins belongs to the Valence Romans Agglo urban community. Its agricultural territory, planted with orchards and market gardens, offers the calm of the Drôme countryside just a few minutes from the main roads. This rural setting gives the annual flea market its authentic character, far from the hustle and bustle of urban markets. Peyrins is also a particularly active commune in terms of associations, as evidenced by the variety of its flea market and car boot sale events.
