The Place du Marché Monthly Brocante is one of the most charming antique hunting events in Alsace. Organized by the Obernai City Hall, it is held on the last Friday of the month, from April to September, on the Place du Marché, in the heart of the city. Around ten carefully selected professional brocante merchants offer a refined selection of old furniture, decorative objects, tableware, knick-knacks, and curiosities.
The season extends from spring to the end of summer, with six events spread between April and September. Enthusiasts can thus visit the brocante throughout the fine season, enjoying the animation of Obernai's city center, very touristy at this time.
Obernai is one of the most visited cities in Alsace and an essential stop on the famous Wine Route. Nestled at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile, the medieval city preserves an exceptional architectural heritage: ramparts, cobbled Place du Marché lined with half-timbered houses, former grain market, six-bucket well, Renaissance city hall, and Saints-Pierre-et-Paul church.
