Flea market and local producers market on the Place de l'Église in Cerbois
Every May, the village of Cerbois hosts an original event on its Place de l'Église that combines a traditional flea market and a market of local producers. This hybrid formula, supported by the Comité des Fêtes with the support of the town hall and the Communauté de communes Cœur de Berry, delights bargain hunters and food lovers in an authentic village setting.
The Place de l'Église in Cerbois, the heart of this village located between Vierzon and Issoudun, transforms for a day into a double open-air market. On one side, flea market stalls offer furniture, tableware, trinkets, and antique objects; on the other, local producers from the Berry region present their specialties: goat cheeses, honey, jams, cured meats, and wines from Reuilly and Quincy. This complementarity attracts a varied and family audience.
Cerbois, a commune of 416 inhabitants attached to the Communauté de communes Cœur de Berry, is located at an altitude of 124 meters in the plains of Berry, between Sologne and Champagne berrichonne. The village, crossed by peaceful country paths, retains a typical architectural heritage with its church and stone farmhouses. The flea market-market contributes to the influence of this small town and to maintaining social ties among the inhabitants.
The Brocante Marché de Producteurs is held in May on the Place de l'Église in Cerbois. Approximately 50 exhibitors. Hours: 8 am to 7 pm (setup from 6 am). Information: 06 83 37 50 90 or 06 08 12 89 98. Contact Communauté de communes: 02 48 51 13 73.
