Flea market and car boot sale on the Place de l'Église of Juillac in Corrèze
Every first weekend of August, the Place de l'Église in Juillac transforms into a large open-air flea market. Individuals and professionals display their goods in the shaded square and in the adjacent streets of the village, offering a pleasant strolling route for treasure hunters from all over the Brive and Uzerche basin.
The Juillac flea market is not limited to the car boot sale: in front of the municipal media library, a second-hand book street sale attracts bibliophiles. In the afternoon, inflatable circuits and electric balance bikes are made available free of charge to children aged 4 to 9, while the Compagnie des archers de Brive offers free archery initiation from the age of 8. At the end of the day, from 7 pm onwards, a dance evening with DJ and fast food extends the festivities late into the night.
A rural commune in the canton of Ayen, Juillac is distinguished by its 12th-century Romanesque church, its covered market hall, and its hilly landscape typical of southern Limousin. Close to Arnac-Pompadour and its famous national stud farm, the village benefits from a bucolic environment conducive to walks and heritage discoveries. The summer flea market contributes to the dynamism of this small commune that knows how to liven up its summers.
