Large summer flea market in Dieulefit, city of potters in southern Drôme
Every end of July, Dieulefit hosts its large annual summer flea market, one of the highlights of the town's tourist and cultural calendar. For two days, dealers and individuals take over the streets and squares of this Drôme town to offer visitors and residents a varied selection of antique and second-hand items, in the golden warmth of a southern Drôme summer.
Located at the crossroads of the Alpine landscapes of the Vercors and Provençal influences, Dieulefit boasts a remarkable natural setting. The pottery town is surrounded by hills covered with pubescent oaks and pines, lavender, and garrigue, crossed by the Jabron river whose cool waters offer a welcome refuge during hot summers. With 3,000 inhabitants, Dieulefit is a human-sized town where the quality of life attracts many new rural residents and artists, perpetuating a creative and artisanal tradition inherited from the golden age of pottery in the 19th century.
The two-day format — Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2026 — allows for a maximum number of visitors, whether they are holidaymakers staying in gîtes and campsites in the Baronnies and Provençal Drôme, or residents from Montélimar, Valence, and surrounding towns. The peak tourist season at the end of July guarantees good attendance and allows exhibitors to make good sales in a relaxed summer atmosphere.
The Dieulefit summer flea market welcomes both individuals clearing out their attics and professionals presenting quality pieces. You'll find a diverse offering: regional and provincial furniture, ceramics and pottery (echoing the local heritage), antique tableware and glassware, books, vintage clothing, artisan tools, and everyday objects from yesteryear.
