The great autumn brocante on rue Charles de Gaulle in Yerres, mixed private and professional sellers
Every early September, rue Charles de Gaulle in the heart of Yerres hosts the town's third and largest annual brocante, organised by HMO Brocantes. This mixed event — private sellers and antique professionals — from 6am to 6pm is the highlight of Yerres' brocante year and marks the start of the autumn brocante season in Essonne. Pitch fee €10/m, free entry.
After the spring brocante at Rond-Point Gambetta (May) and the early-summer one at Rond-Point Pasteur (June), the Town Centre Brocante of Yerres, organised by HMO Brocantes in early September, is the third and final major brocante of the year — and the largest. Rue Charles de Gaulle, the town's main artery, offers more length and visibility than either spring/summer roundabout site.
This is also the only one of the three Yerres events to be mixed: both private sellers (clearing out attics and garages) and professional antique dealers are welcome. This diversity enriches the offering for visitors, with quality curated pieces alongside affordable family bric-à-brac.
Rue Charles de Gaulle is one of Yerres' main town-centre arteries. On brocante day, part of the street is closed to traffic, creating a market-festival atmosphere. The reference point is number 50, with stalls spreading along both sides of the street for several hundred metres.
The Domaine de Yerres (former Caillebotte family estate), now owned by the Essonne département and open to the public, is a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Brocante visitors can easily combine bargain hunting with a visit to the estate's gardens, ornamental farm and Caillebotte exhibitions. Gustave Caillebotte (1848–1894), who painted extensively at Yerres between 1871 and 1879, is the town's most celebrated figure, with works now held in major museums worldwide.
The September town-centre brocante marks the return of the brocante season in Essonne after summer. HMO Brocantes manages the full event: marking out pitches, welcoming sellers from 6am, managing placements, communication. Both private and professional sellers pay the same €10/m fee. Free entry for visitors.
