Annual flea market organized by the Foyer Rural de Buire, rue de Verdun
The Foyer Rural de Buire organizes its annual flea market every summer on rue de Verdun, the main street of this village in the north of Aisne. Located between Hirson and Vervins, the commune of Buire is in the heart of Thiérache, a region known for its bocage, fortified churches, and Maroilles cheese.
The Buire flea market takes place all day, from 6 am to 6 pm, allowing early morning hunters and afternoon strollers to enjoy the stalls. Exhibitors offer a typical selection of village flea markets: furniture, crockery, old tools, trinkets, books, and everyday objects. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, typical of this small rural village.
Buire is a commune in the arrondissement of Vervins with a few hundred inhabitants. The village retains the charm of rural Thiérache localities, with its brick houses and bocage landscapes. The flea market is one of the highlights of the year for this commune, which cultivates conviviality and social connection through the activities of the Foyer Rural.
