The Spring Street Sale of Châteaudun: The Grand Unpacking for the Sunny Season

Every late March, as the days lengthen and the temperatures invite us outdoors, Châteaudun comes alive with its Spring Street Sale. Organized by the association Les Folies Dunoises, this popular street sale brings together merchants, individuals, artisans, creators, and flea market vendors for two days in the historic city center of the prefecture of Dunois.

Two Days of Great Deals in the Heart of the City

On Friday, downtown merchants kick things off with their promotional unpackings: clothing, shoes, home goods, decorative items… An ideal day to take advantage of special offers from local shops. On Saturday, the area expands with the arrival of individuals, artisans, and flea market vendors who join the merchants. Everyone sets up their stall and offers their finds: furniture, trinkets, second-hand clothes, books, toys, everyday objects. The atmosphere is both festive and warm, in the beautiful setting of downtown Châteaudun with its cobblestone streets and historic facades.

Les Folies Dunoises, Committed Organizers

The association Les Folies Dunoises, created to liven up the commercial and social life of Châteaudun, manages this street sale with enthusiasm. Booking spaces is mandatory for exhibitors: €3 per linear meter for individuals, €4 per linear meter for professionals. Registrations are made by phone or email with the association.

Châteaudun, a City of Art and History

Châteaudun is a picturesque town perched on a promontory overlooking the Loir river, in Eure-et-Loir. Dominated by its imposing medieval castle and its half-timbered houses, the old town offers a particularly pleasant setting for a spring street sale. The sale is an opportunity to stroll through the historic streets, discover local shops, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Dunoise city center.
