The great second-hand weekend by the thermal lake
For many years, the Lions Club Enghien-Montmorency has organised its annual braderie and brocante weekend in the city centre of Enghien-les-Bains, an elegant spa town beside its lake, famous for its casino and thermal baths. The event has become one of the most anticipated gatherings in the Montmorency valley.
The weekend is divided into two distinct moments. Saturday is devoted to the braderie: adult and children's clothing, childcare items, toys and vintage fashion accessories fill the outdoor stalls. Sunday is the classic brocante: antiques, old objects, jewellery, crockery, multimedia, postcards and decorative items form a generous palette of finds for collectors and bargain hunters.
The event brings together more than 70 exhibitors each day, attracting around 10,000 visitors over the weekend. Professionals and private sellers mingle in a convivial and festive atmosphere typical of this characterful spa town.
True to its humanist mission, the Lions Club Enghien-Montmorency donates the proceeds to local and international social actions carried out by club volunteers across the valley.
