Every spring, the Sou des Écoles de Thoiry organizes its children's sale in the town of Thoiry, located in the Pays de Gex, a few kilometers from the Swiss border and CERN. This event is a must-attend for families in the region who want to buy or sell children's items at attractive prices.

The Principle of the Sale

Sellers drop off their items (clothing, toys, childcare equipment, books) during a prior collection period. The items are then put up for sale during the event. A percentage of the sales revenue is donated to the Sou des Écoles, with the remainder returned to the sellers. It's a win-win system that promotes the circular economy and reuse.
