A well-oiled bike sale in the heart of Obernai

The Club Alpin d'Obernai (CAO) cycling section organizes its annual bike sale at the Foyer Saint-Joseph, avenue du Tertre in Obernai. This spring event has become a must-attend event for cyclists and two-wheel enthusiasts in Alsace who wish to acquire a reliable second-hand bike or resell theirs with ease.

Obernai, pearl of the Alsatian vineyard

Obernai is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Alsace, located at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile on the famous Wine Route. Classified among the prettiest cities of the vineyard, it hosts many cultural and sporting events each year. The bike sale fits perfectly into the cycling tradition of the city, ideally located to radiate into the Vosges massif and the Alsatian vineyard.

An efficient organization system

The originality of this sale is based on its two-step system. On Saturday, March 21 from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, owners deposit their bikes for a fee of €2 per bike. The sale takes place on Sunday, March 22 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the return of unsold items or checks from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. A 10% commission per sale is paid to CAO to finance its associative activities. All types of bikes are accepted: children's, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, electric bikes, road bikes and other two-wheelers.
