For four editions, Ponthoile has hosted every spring a plant swap bringing together gardening enthusiasts, botany lovers and simple curious visitors. This young but well-established event reflects the vitality of exchanges between gardeners.

Swap, buy, share

A plant swap is not a commercial market like others. It's a place of exchange between enthusiasts. Vegetable seedlings, flowers, perennials, shrubs, cuttings, seeds from personal harvests, bulbs, sometimes fruit trees and always precious advice.

What to find

Plant swaps often reveal old or rare varieties hard to find in commercial garden centres. Heritage vegetables, aromatic plants, local varieties adapted to Picard soil and climate. Prices very affordable.

Ponthoile, Bay of Somme village

A commune on the Picard coast, a few kilometres from Le Crotoy and the Bay of Somme. Salt marshes and the bay bocage host remarkable fauna and flora.
